What People Are Saying…

Akiya did an excellent job on my two strand twists! I loved the fact that she was super attentive and efficient. I look forward to partnering with her on my natural hair journey. I will be booking another appointment with her asap!”

“The best simply, THE BEST.  Super professional and knowledgable.  Extremely careful and also honest.  Like many men around 30 my hair is starting to thin up top and I'm tryna hold on like a hubcap in the fast lane.  On top of that my previous loctician was extremely damaging to my hair and in my stubborn youthful mindset of "eh, if she pulls some out from the root it'll just grow back" I endured yeeeears of improper care.  Over the last about 4 years I have come to realize what true love for my hair looks like thanks to my "tHAIRapist" Akiya.

Also support Black owned and independent businesses ya'll.  Its good for the ecosystem

“For me, Akiya is a godsend. My loctician moved away and I was looking for someone who used the interlocking method. A lot of people say they interlock, but don't really know how. Akiya is good and FAST! {she is better than ANYONE I have ever used and I've had locs now for 10 years} She is professional and knowledgeable about not just locs (and the many methods) but natural ways to enhance hair health. She makes her own hair oil that is natural and smells so good, I use it on my skin as well. I cannot sing her praises enough! She's very busy so book in advance. You won't regret it.”

“Akiya is phenomenal!!!!! She is an all around miracle worker when it comes to natural hair. She not only leaves your hair looking good, but her gentle hand and respect for your edges, leaves you feeling good too. She has cared for my locs for three years and I couldn't be any happier. When I say she doesn't miss one strand of hair.... honey she manages to catch every baby hair around my head and nestles it into a loc. She's keeps my hair healthy and looking it's best. All in all, Akiya is a beast. I recommend her to ALL natural hair customers.”
